The Epicurean Charitable Foundation was founded on May 7, 2001 by Rino Armeni. His vision was to create a more charitable community as well as foster the development of the future hospitality leaders.
The Epicurean Charitable Foundation supports our students by providing full-ride scholarships, one-on-one mentoring and unique employment opportunities. Over 28 financially challenged students have been recipients of the scholarship which allowed them to attend the institution of higher learning of their choice. In addition to the financial support, our students receive personal guidance and mentoring, and unique employment opportunities from some of the most renowned Food & Beverage executives in the world.
In addition to supporting our scholarship recipients, the Epicurean Charitable Foundation plays an active role in building a stronger local community by helping various entities and charities achieve their dreams and goals.
Some of our beneficiaries include:
• Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Brain Institute
• Lied Discovery Childrens Museum
• Make-A-Wish Foundation
• Nevada Cancer Institute
• Three Square
• University of Nevada – Las Vegas
The Foundation’s funds are primarily generated through the successful annual scholarship fundraising event, M.E.N.U.S. (Mentoring & Educating Nevada’s Upcoming Students), which is held every Fall. This unique and memorable evening features over 25 of Las Vegas’ best restaurants and finest chefs in an outdoor dine around, and culminates with a private concert by a major recording artist(s).
Whether by proudly supporting and mentoring our students, generously supporting other agencies with admirable causes, or hosting guests at M.E.N.U.S, the Epicurean Charitable Foundation has supported the community in ways that will yield long-lasting effects, and we will strive to continue doing so.
